Abstract

In this paper, we first describe an extension of the standard Frisch, Hasslacher, Pomeau hexagonal lattice gas to study reaction-diffusion problems. Some numerical results are presented. We then consider the question of Galilean invariance from an "experimental" point of view, showing cases where the standard model is inadequate. Finally, we introduce a way to cure the Galilean disease and present some results of simulations for a few typical cases.
